Combine:

This is another event that makes MOT unique. Our Combine is a week long evaluation period of our players. 
This allows our coaches to draft teams that are  balanced and competitive for the season. Our goal is to 
have great, fun, competitive football every weekend with balanced teams through each division.
The Combine and Drafting system at MOT allows this happen. 

The Combine is a special event too, where the coaches are evaluating players but at the same time doing every thing
they can to create an awesome, positive experience for our youth. We want each of our players to feel like they are in the NFL Combine
getting ready for the Pro's. 

It's all positive! THIS IS WHERE THE FOOTBALL TRADITION BEGINS!  MOT FAMILY!




COMBINE DATES:

 

Combine to run next week:  Monday July 22nd, Tuesday July 23rd, Wednesday July 24th, Thursday July 25th and Friday July 26th


















  • Upon arrival players must check in at Concessions and receive a wristband
    • All players must check in 15 minutes prior to the combine
    • Upon check in – you will be logged in for the day and given credit for your attendance and you will receive a wristband with a number on it.
    • Upon check in each player will be directed to his or her combine location.

  • Players must come to 2 combine dates – players can come as often as they want. Some players come every night.
  • What if we can't attend the combine? - (No worries - all players will be placed on a team at random during the drafting process over the weekend and announced to their team during the draft ceremony)
  • Players are divided into two groups to maximize structure and productivity of combine – check the times. If for some reason the time does not work for you – you can come the time period that works for you. Just make sure you check in at concessions and get your wristband.
  • All players must be registered by the draft to return to their same team they played on last year (if not moving up)
  • Players registering after the draft will be placed on teams at random through the lottery process.

 

COMBINE IS FOR THE FOLLOWING AGE GROUPS –

 

Little Pro age 6 and 7

Freshman age 8 and 9

JV age 10 and 11

Varsity age 12 and 13 

 

Tiny Pro’s age 5  - first date out will be Wednesday Aug. 7th at 630pm (More information to follow) spread the word!

4 Semi-Pro's instructional Flag – first date out will be Wednesday  Aug. 14th at 630pm

 

 

Each age group is divided in half to maximize the structure of our combine- see which group you're in based on the first letter of your last name:

 

Group A   ( Last Name begins with A – M)  

Group B (Last Name begins with N – Z)

 

Monday -                 Group A only – Time: Check in at 545pm   - Combine time: 6pm – 830pm

Tuesday –                Group B only – Time: Check in at 545pm – Combine time 6pm – 830pm

 

Wednesday            Group A – 6pm – 715pm (check in at 545pm)

                              Group B – 715pm – 830pm (Check in at 7pm)

 

Thursday-                Group A – 6pm – 715pm

                                 Group B – 715pm – 830pm

 

Friday – Group A  - 6pm – 715pm
               Group B – 715pm – 830pm

Monday – Group A  (Group B can come too - but you do not have too) This day is for group A
(Bring water – wear shorts – tee shirt – spikes)

1. Roll Call ( 6pm - 615pm)
2. Warm ups (615pm- 630pm)
3. 40 yard Dash (630pm - 705pm)
4. Push Ups - Timed over 1 minute  (705pm- 725pm)   (Lines of 8)
5. Shuttle Run  (725pm - 750pm)
6. Box Drill  ( 750pm - 820pm)
7. Group Q & A with Coaches   - 10 minutes     Groups of 5 - rotate every 3 minutes

Tuesday – Group B ( Group A can come too but you don't have too) This day is for group B

4. Tackling Drill – Obstacle course - tackling a BAG – (Not a live tackling drill)

5. Stance – Blocking and Rushing Drill

6.  Discuss drills on Friday
7. Group Q & A with Coaches   - 10 minutes     Groups of 5 - rotate every 3 minutes


 

Friday – Full Football Pads – Helmet/Shoulder pads/Mouth Piece – Bring water

5.  Blocking - Stance  - Low impact – quick whistle -  Box Drill:Chicken Fight & Fire drill
6. Group Q & A with Coaches   - 10 minutes     Groups of 5 - rotate every 3 minutes







Draft Ceremonies:
Players announced to their team. We make a big deal out of this for our players. We hire a professional DJ to announce all players. 
Our Cheerleaders are involved and help make this event special for all.
